A little bit about Daniel

Daniel started Judo age 14 with the British Judo Council (BJC). Daniel was a competitive player within the BJC and won both the BJC National Championships and the BJC International championships. Daniel was a well respected figure within the federation and started coaching at an early age. However at the age of 18 he felt like he wanted to challenge himself further and took the decision to transfer over to the British Judo association (BJA). Daniel proceeded to win both his BJA 1st, 2nd and 3rd Dan competitively and competed in many major British tournaments and continues to compete as a veteran today. He started coaching within the BJA following his transfer over from the BJC and used his knowledge and experience to open Kangei Judo Club along with his Brother-in-law Grant Egleton in the early part of 2014.

Why I love what I do

I have always loved coaching and passing on knowledge to help others achieve their goals.  I love being a coach at Kangei Judo Club as it has a real fun, friendly atmosphere. The club is going from strength to strength which gives me great pride and satisfaction knowing that people enjoy being there.
